Two targets — keep one clear without embarrassing the other

Course 000°, 12 knots. A motor vessel bears 045° at three miles, crossing from starboard on a steady bearing — you must give way. A second vessel is fine on the port bow at four miles on a reciprocal course, currently set to pass port-to-port about three cables clear. Your action for the first must not create a new close-quarters situation with the second.
